A Pracademic is someone who is both an academic and a practitioner in a particular discipline. Usually pracademics begin their working lives as practitioners and subsequently take on the mantle of academic later in their working life. In my case, the reverse is true. Foremost an academic and now taking on the role of an Insolvency Practitioner at Worrells Insolvency and Forensic Accountants, Gold Coast for sixteen weeks commencing on Monday, 5th February, 2018.
One of my purposes in being a "Pracademic" is to experience insolvency practitioners at work which will be the foundation for the creation of teaching and learning case studies, blending practice with theory to increase not only students' technical knowledge but also their employability skills. The Insolvency Pracademic Blog will record my impressions and reflections while undertaking my "Pracademic Experience". Please follow my journey for the next sixteen weeks....
